live life outside the lines

welcome back to Sunday Goods!
somewhere along the way, we were taught to stay inside them:
the lines.
the rules.
the expectations.
the quiet agreement that if we did things right, everything would fall into place.
but life doesn’t work that way.
healing doesn’t either.
outside the lines is about unlearning the idea that growth has to be neat. that progress has to be linear.
that you have to have the “right” response, the “right” timeline, or the “right” version of yourself before you’re allowed to feel okay.
it’s about letting things be a little messy. a little uneven. a little human.
staying inside the lines often looks like:
suppressing emotions because they feel inconvenient
rushing healing so it looks productive
comparing your progress to someone else’s highlight reel
feeling behind because your journey doesn’t match the one you imagined
& over time, that pressure disconnects us from ourselves.
because the truth is, some of the most meaningful parts of life exist outside what’s expected of us.
outside the lines is where curiosity lives. where creativity breathes. where softness & self-trust begin to return.
what “outside the lines” really means:
at its core, outside the lines is permission.
permission to:
feel what you feel without needing to justify it
take the long way through healing
rest without earning it
create without perfection
be a work in progress without apologizing
it’s the reminder that you don’t have to stay confined to a version of yourself that no longer fits.
you are allowed to change.
you are allowed to take up space differently.
you are allowed to color wherever your hand naturally wants to go.
that’s where the outside the lines coloring book comes in!
it was created as a tangible reminder that slowing down is not falling behind. each page is designed to be more than something to color, it’s an invitation to pause, breathe, & reconnect with yourself without pressure or expectations.
there’s no right way to move through it.
no perfect color palette.
no need to finish every page in order.
you can color one page & come back weeks later.
you can leave spaces blank.
you can go bold or stay soft.
the meaning is in the process, not the outcome.
this book exists to meet you exactly where you are, whether that’s overwhelmed, healing, growing, or simply needing a quiet moment for yourself.
this weeks gentle reminder:
you don’t have to stay inside the lines to be doing life “right.”
some of the most beautiful versions of you will exist outside of them.
& when things feel loud or heavy, you can always return: too stillness, to color, to yourself.
the pages will be waiting.
with care,
elle
